Islamic Resources

1. - The Qur'an (translated as "The Recitation") is the divine word of God (or in Arabic, "Allah") - Glory to Him, the Exalted (or in Arabic, "Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala" or "SWT").
The Qur'an is the final message of Allah (swt) to humanity, confirming prior revelations including the original Torah, Psalms, and Gospels.  The Qur'an is the criterion of Truth - the guidance from Allah (swt), which Allah (swt) informs us is clear, complete, and fully-detailed.  It was transmitted to mankind in Arabic: from Allah (swt), through Angel Gabriel, to the final Prophet of Allah to humanity (Prophet Muhammad [may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, or "pbuh"]), from 610 CE to 632 CE.  Allah (swt) has promised to preserve the Qur'an, and to date we see that the Qur'an is literally 1 version, memorized by millions, and recited by millions (in congregational prayer and otherwise), everyday - in its language of revelation: Arabic.  Translations of the Quran are also available.

2. - Bayyinah TV is a continually growing video collection of exclusive Qur’anic and Arabic videos.  Four shows were available (at the time of this publication): Arabic with Husna, Divine Speech, Themes from the Qur’an, and Qur’an: A Concise Commentary (highly recommended).  We recommend focusing on the Quranic words presented, considering outside information as historic/academic, but not necessarily as part of the laws and beliefs.
